Northwest Shoals Community College
Northwest Shoals Community College (NWSCC) has provided postsecondary and workforce education to Northwest Alabama for over 50 years.
As a comprehensive two-year college in the Alabama Community College System (ACCS), NWSCC, provides academic, athletic, career technical and lifelong educational opportunities. The College operates two campuses, the Shoals campus in Muscle Shoals and the Phil Campbell Campus in Phil Campbell, located in Franklin County.
With just over 75% of its students benefitting from financial aid, NWSCC makes higher education a reality for a wide range of students at various income levels.
NWSCC is an ideal option for those interested in academic transfer, career/technical programs and health sciences careers.
Students who attend NWSCC to fulfill basic educational requirements before transferring to a four-year college/university save on average 50-60% on tuition costs.
NWSCC successfully continues to meet the educational and training demands of a unique and highly diverse population.
