Franklin County Chamber Christmas Parade Application
Thank you for participating in the Franklin County Chamber Christmas Parade in Downtown Russellville! Please read and agree to all of our Rules, Regulations, & Procedures before submitting your application. *ALL entries are required to submit a valid driver license. ALL drivers are required to submit their current proof of insurance.

RULES, REGULATIONS, & PROCEDURES

  1. The application, copy of a valid driver license, & current proof of insurance must be received by the Franklin County Chamber of Commerce no later than December 2nd at 4 p.m. to participate. 
  2. DRIVER (of any vehicle) must be at least 18 years old. A copy of current/valid driver license for EACH  person participating in the parade & a current proof of insurance is required. This information MUST accompany entry form, due no later than December 2nd. 
  3. For SAFETY, DRIVERS are to keep 25 feet between them and the previous entry in the parade route. DRIVERS are not permitted to toss candy. 
  4. Children ages 12 and under may not walk outside an entry. They must be in a vehicle or float unless they are part of a walking unit.
  5. Each entry must be identified by a banner or sign.
  6. Entries are not allowed to stop or delay the parade to distribute candy/goodies/treats. 
  7. Due to safety and insurance guidelines, the Chamber prohibits the use of any open flames during the Franklin County Chamber Christmas Parade by participants and spectators. 
  8. Alabama State law prohibits ATVs/UTVs/golf carts/low speed vehicles from public streets; therefore, ATVs/UTVs/golf carts/low speed vehicles are not permitted in the parade.
  9. Santa has agreed to be part of this event and will ride at the end of the parade. DO NOT include Santa as part of your entry. 
  10. No animals (of any kind) are allowed.
  11. Deviation from any of the above Rules, Regulations, and Procedures may result in the applicant not being allowed participation in the parade. The Franklin County Chamber reserves the right to dismiss any entry that is: 1) Deemed a safety issue or hazard to any entry, participant, or parade spectator or 2) Offensive by design or decoration.

In recent years, we have seen a great turnout for the parade. Last year’s estimate of attendees was 1,000+ people. Please plan your candy/treat count accordingly.
