DESCRIPTION:When: 2nd Saturday in October \nSaturday\, October 10\, 2026 \nThe name “The Spirit of Hodges Festival” takes on special meaning and reflects the town’s history. The Spirit of Hodges was a P-51 Mustang fighter aircraft used in World War II. The plane was named for the town after an auction in which residents of Hodges raised more than $47\,000 in war bonds in 1943. In Mexican culture\, this remembrance is traditionally called “Dia de los Muertos.” \nA collaborative endeavor thanks to community\, business\, and religious leaders\, this annual festival will showcase the diverse Latin cultures present in out local community.\nNot only will this event expose festival goers to the diversity within the Latino community\, it will also promote cultural unity and foster positive relationships.\nThis all day\, family-focused interactive event will feature live entertainment\, dancing competitions\, hands-on children’s activity tents\, a street soccer match\, a vintage car show\, and a closing parade.
